Clinical Trainer · POCUS
Nairobi, Kenya
Rose Mumbua is a radiographer with over six years in practice, working across X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI. She supports hands-on scanning practice and equipment handling on QualCare Africa's POCUS courses.
On course days she works alongside trainees at the machine — the part of training where technique is actually built. Her emphasis is on safe, correct equipment operation, sound patient positioning, and the everyday practicalities of running imaging in a busy department.
She has been a radiographer with the Radiant Group of Hospitals in Nairobi since 2019, operating surgical and portable equipment, supporting surgeons in theatre, performing ultrasound examinations for the assessment of pain, swelling and organ pathology, and conducting the regular equipment inspections and radiation checks that keep a department safe. She began her career as a radiographer intern at Machakos Level 5 Hospital.
A consistent thread through her CV is patient communication — explaining procedures to reduce anxiety, obtaining proper consent, and handling the questions patients and referring doctors bring to the imaging room.
