Director of Clinical Training · Lead POCUS Tutor
Nairobi, Kenya
Emmanuel Omware directs clinical training at QualCare Africa and leads its point-of-care ultrasound teaching. A radiographer and sonographer by background, he works across diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, Doppler, X-ray, CT and fluoroscopy — and brings that practising-clinician perspective into every teaching session.
As Director of Clinical Training he provides leadership and coordination across clinical services, with an emphasis on quality, professional standards and effective training delivery. He leads POCUS teaching and practical learning, guiding trainees through ultrasound principles, image acquisition, interpretation and clinical application. He develops and refines the teaching content, presentations and structured sessions the programme runs on, and mentors learners toward competency through clear feedback and hands-on guidance.
He practises as a sonographer at Penda Health, Lucky Summer, and as a radiographer and sonographer with the Radiant Group of Hospitals — performing general and transvaginal ultrasound, spectral Doppler, general and special X-ray, hysterosalpingography and fluoroscopic procedures. Earlier posts include Green Health International Fertility Centre and Siaya County Referral Hospital.
His mentorship strengths are the ones that matter in a busy department: explaining imaging concepts clearly, relating theory back to clinical practice, giving constructive and competency-focused feedback, and communicating well with patients, colleagues and trainees alike.
