Rukwaro Mathenge is Chief Financial Officer of QualCare Africa, responsible for the financial strategy that underpins the organisation's training, equipment deployment and partnership programmes across the region.
Training programmes in low-resource settings live or die on their economics. His remit covers programme costing, partner and donor financial management, and the planning that decides how far each cohort of trainees and each deployed ultrasound unit can reach.
He works alongside the clinical leadership on the commercial structure of institutional partnerships — the agreements with hospitals, NGOs, medical schools and public health agencies that carry QualCare training into health systems.
QualCare Africa partners with hospitals, NGOs, medical schools and public health agencies to deliver internationally recognised point-of-care ultrasound training.
